It started out as school work, in which we had to pick songs to illustrate. Then it was just a pencil drawing, but I really liked the way it looked and the idea behind it.
I liked it so much that some years later, after I learned the basics of digital painting, I decided to paint it. It took about three tries after I got it the way I wanted, but I'm very happy with the final look.
It's 100% scratch made, no stock textures involved.
